Residentials
All students in Year 7 are given the opportunity of a residential visit early
in their school life. This gives them a chance to develop independence,
initiative and a sense of responsibility, as well as experience of teamwork. The
children spend two nights away from home, currently at Hartington Youth Hostel.
Under the supervision of trained staff, they follow a programme designed to
provide outdoor education linked to the National Curriculum.
Other residential opportunities include:
- Cultural visits to other European countries
- Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme expeditions
- Activities at Brintysilio Outward Bound Centre
- Field trips in the United Kingdom
- Residential music weekends at Ingestre Hall
- Skiing holidays. |
